BAB I. PENDAHULUAN. I.1. AbstractPT. Agility International adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang jasa pelayanan pengiriman barang ekspor impor, yang sering disebut dengan Freight Forwarding. Kantor PT. Agility International Surakarta bertempat di Jl. Raya Solo Permai Blok LJ No. 34 Solo Baru, Sukoharjo, Solo 57552, Telp. 0271 624 361. Dalam penulisan Tugas Akhir ini, penulis melakukan penelitian di PT. Agility International Surakarta pada tanggal 1 Februari 2011 sampai dengan 31 Maret 2011. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pengiriman barang dengan term CFR pada PT. Agility International Surakarta. Di samping itu, untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis dokumen apa saja yang digunakan serta analisis biaya yang harus dikeluarkan dalam term CFR ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif mengenai proses pengiriman barang dengan term CFR pada PT. Agility International sebagai perusahaan freight forwarding. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer yang didapat melalui wawancara secara langsung kepada pihak PT. Agility International Surakarta dan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari buku ataupun sumber bacaan lainnya yang berkenaan dan relevan dengan pokok bahasan yang diambil. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan tentang proses pengiriman barang dengan term CFR pada PT. Agility International Surakarta yaitu berawal dari eksportir yang menyerahkan Shipping Instruction kepada PT. Agility untuk dipesankan ruang kapal dan container, kemudian proses stuffing hingga terbitnya dokumen-dokumen ekspor serta pembayaran biaya-biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam proses pengiriman dengan term CFR ini. Saran yang dapat diajukan untuk PT. Agility International Surakarta adalah perlunya penambahan karyawan dan pembagian job-des serta komunikasi yang baik antar divisi.
